Here and There

It's said that travel broadens the mind, but for me the best benefit is how it opens my eyes. I try to go beyond tourist snapshots, focusing on architectural details, sculptural arrangements and the interplay of light and shadow. Whether I am abroad or "traveling" on walks in my Richmond neighborhood, it's the spark of difference that excites me. Sometimes color contributes to the effect. But sometimes black and white best expresses what I find interesting.
